4 Gangnam-Area Skin Clinics Compared: Doctor Credentials, Same-Price Policies and Who Each Suits

If you want a board-certified dermatologist at the consultation, WELLS Dermatology (웰스피부과) in Apgujeong and VOS Dermatology (청담보스피부과) opposite Dosan Park state that credential for every doctor who treats you, and REDI Dermatology (레디피부과) in Bangbae names a board-certified founding director. If one-day packages beside a subway exit and a written same-price promise matter more, Delphic Clinic (델픽의원) sits at Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 3. Each clinic fits a different priority.

Which clinic fits which need?

Written same-price policy for foreigners: Delphic, REDI and VOS.

Dermatologist-only doctor team: WELLS, with four board-certified dermatologists listed.

One named senior dermatologist who performs every procedure, plus a detailed price list: VOS.

Juvelook-focused skin boosters with an interpreter in the treatment room: REDI.

Lifting, toning and skin-booster packages meant to finish in one day: Delphic.

What do 'board-certified' and 'same price' mean on these sites?

A Korean skin clinic is not automatically run by a dermatologist. KCODI's page on choosing a Korean skin clinic explains that any licensed doctor in Korea can run one, that many busy Gangnam clinics are run by general doctors, and that both are legal, so the credential is worth asking about by name.

Titles such as Key Opinion Leader are different. REDI's About page notes they are granted by device companies and carry no legal standing.

Comparison table

Delphic (델픽의원) — Station: Sinnonhyeon Exit 3, about one minute; Board-certified dermatologist: ask the clinic; Same price stated: Yes; Interpreters: Chinese, English.

REDI (레디피부과) — Station: Bangbae Exit 3, two minutes; Board-certified dermatologist: Founding director; the About page also lists a family medicine specialist; Same price stated: Yes; Interpreters: Chinese, English.

VOS (청담보스피부과) — Station: Apgujeong Exit 3, about 14 minutes; Board-certified dermatologist: Dr. Hongseok Kim; Same price stated: Yes; Language support: English replies on WhatsApp.

WELLS (웰스피부과) — Station: Apgujeong Exit 3, about five minutes; Board-certified dermatologist: All four listed doctors; Same price: ask in writing; Interpreters: English, Chinese, Japanese.

Clinic cards: who each one suits

Delphic Clinic (델픽의원) is on the 2nd floor of 476 Gangnam-daero. It lists Ulthera, Thermage FLX, Onda and Titanium as FDA-cleared lifting devices and says international guests pay the same package price as Korean patients. The Delphic Clinic homepage sets out its one-day packages in won and offers Chinese and English interpretation.

Delphic suits short stays and package pricing. If a board-certified dermatologist matters to you, ask Delphic to confirm the treating doctor's specialty in writing.

REDI Dermatology (레디피부과) occupies the 4th and 5th floors of DM Tower 2 on Bangbae-ro in Seocho-gu. It reports 15,000+ Juvelook vials administered, and its homepage promises the local price and interpreters present during consultation and treatment. REDI says its treatments are performed by REDI's board-certified dermatologists, but the profile on that page names one board-certified dermatologist, founding director Dr. Min Jeong, and REDI's About page also lists a family medicine specialist, so ask which doctor will consult and treat you.

REDI suits skin-booster plans and anyone who wants an interpreter beside them. Ask REDI in writing for an itemized quote before booking; Saturday hours end at 15:00.

VOS Dermatology (청담보스피부과) is at 806 Eonju-ro, opposite Dosan Park. The clinic says Dr. Hongseok Kim, a board-certified dermatologist with 21 years of clinical experience, performs every diagnosis and procedure. For lifting, VOS Dermatology shows prices before VAT on the treatment cards that list a price and lists Ultherapy Prime and Thermage FLX.

VOS suits lifting if you want to start from listed prices for set shot counts; the plan and shot count are set at consultation, so your total can differ from the listed price. It closes on Wednesdays, Sundays and public holidays.

WELLS Dermatology (웰스피부과) was founded in 2008 and sits about five minutes from Apgujeong Station Exit 3. The clinic says all four listed doctors are board-certified dermatologists, and it says it will refund ten times the treatment price if a tip is ever found not to be genuine. WELLS Dermatology in Apgujeong lists starting prices excluding VAT and interpreters for English, Chinese and Japanese.

WELLS suits a dermatologist-only team, genuine-tip concerns and Japanese interpretation. Ask WELLS in writing to confirm whether international patients pay the same price as Korean patients.

How can you check a Korean skin clinic and its doctor?

Match the treating doctor's full name to the clinic's doctors page, then ask whether the consulting doctor also performs the procedure. VOS says Dr. Hongseok Kim performs every procedure, and WELLS says a board-certified dermatologist handles consultation, diagnosis and treatment; elsewhere, ask for this in writing.

At reception, look for the framed medical institution licence, and check the register of clinics approved to treat foreign patients. On the day, it is normal in Korea to ask to see the box or vial opened in front of you.

These rows are not like-for-like: prices go by unit, shot count or session, and packages bundle different items. WELLS adds that the dermatologist confirms the final price at consultation.

Red flags to watch for

A very low event price with no shot count or dose; it often means a small dose or an add-on sold in the room.

No written quote, or one that does not say whether VAT is included.

FAQ

Are the listed prices VAT-inclusive? — No. Delphic and WELLS list prices excluding VAT, and VOS adds 10% where applicable. For REDI, ask for a written quote that states whether VAT is included.

Which clinics name board-certified dermatologists? — WELLS names four, VOS names Dr. Hongseok Kim, and REDI names its founding director, Dr. Min Jeong. For Delphic, ask the clinic to confirm the treating doctor's specialty.

What should I confirm before booking? — The treating doctor's name, the shot count or dose, and a written quote that states VAT. Prices, hours and doctor line-ups change, so confirm them directly with the clinic.
